Denver Elementary’s Student Council, led by advisor, Mrs. Culbert, held a very successful Shoe Drive this past March. They collected 1,010 gently used and new shoes that will be sent to developing countries around the world. There they will be sold into micro-enterprises in order to help families out of poverty.
The Shoe Drive also raised money to help fund a special end-of-year treat or activity for the students at Denver in June. Student council officers were amazed at the support of this fundraiser and were thankful for the community for their donations!
